Mannum 2009

Adelaide Buggy Club was gifted with the use of a big parcel of land near Mannum a while ago by some very generous enthusiasts ( who dont seem to mind the noise and dust ). In August 2009 the club held its first event there.

Andrew and I did recovery for the weekend and my new camera got to go on its first big outing and even though we didn't have much to do in the way of recovery, I came home with over 700 shots.

Apparently this photo ended up on the front of a Tshirt : )

The Maverick is just the all round perfect vehicle for recovery!

The weekend was fantastic - all the drivers loved the new track, lots of the townsfolk came out for a look and I had a ball taking the photos. Bring on the next event!!

bloody awesome new year..

This is going to be a HUGE year for dwr - the new car will be ready and Andrew will be getting back into the drivers seat after a couple of years out of the game. Are we excited? - peeing our collective pants is the general feeling!
This last year has seen the Southern Cross frame go from being just that to something that looks more recognisable as an awesome buggy - all the parts are coming together in Andrew's capable hands and every time i head into the shed there's something new to look at (apart from the growing mountain of empties - it's VERY thirsty work!)
The other big change last year was the Nikon Andrew bought me for my birthday which rekindled my love for photography and has brought me much enjoyment already (and a few pretty good photos if i do say so myself)
Christmas was pretty cool as it saw the delivery of the first official dwr merchandise - we have stubby holders and caps ( a few friends and family got them as presents whether they wanted them or not lol). Andrew has the first shirt and all of it looks fantastic!
